AFRO-ASIAN Games

The Afro-Asian Games were the series of inter-continental multi-sport competitions, held between athletes from Asia and Africa. These Games are one-of-a-kind, since no other sporting competition brings athletes from these two continents together for one event, excluding the Olympic Games.

» The first Afro-Asian Games (Octoebr 24 - November 1 2003) concluded on November 1, 2003 in Hyderabad (India)
» China topped the medals tally bagging a total of 41 medals (including 25 Gold, 11 Silver, 5 Bronze)
» India got 80 Medals (19 Gold, 32 Silver and 29 Bronze) occupied second position.
» Japan got 23 Medals (15 Gold, 6 Silver and 2 Bronze) occupied third position.
