Sir,
Subject : INSANITARY CONDITIONS IN ARERA COLONY
I, on behalf of the residents of Arera colony, would like to bring to your notice the insanitary conditions prevailing in our locality.
Once a posh colony, now Arera colony is a store-house of dirt and garbage. The heaps of rubbish are visible at every step. The drains are silted and overflow with foul smelling water. Even sewers are overflowing emitting foul smell. In the absence of dustbins, the residents throw the garbage and domestic rubbish on the roads. Even the educated residents are earless of the sanitary needs of the locality. The streets are often littered with domestic refuse.
The roads are in very bad conditions. During rainy season, they are source of potential danger for accidents. The manholes are without covers. The rain water collected in the depressions of the roads breed mosquitoes. There is every danger of breaking out of infectious diseases. One has to be wary of going out at night. Many accidents have taken place causing loss of life and limb.
We have brought these conditions to the notice of the Sanitary Inspector again & again. But he has not taken even a single step. Sweepers are hardly to be seen on their duty. The absence of the sweepers add to the sufferings o: the residents.
In view of the above, you are requested to visit the locality and take remedial steps to improve the sanitary conditions. Rainy season is likely to set in within this month. We shall be highly obliged if you could take early action in the matter.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
ABCD
