Write a letter to your land lord requesting him for urgent repairs of the building you are living in

Dear Mr. Bansal,

It is long since I heard from you. I hope you have been getting rent regularly, through my bankers every month. I am sure you have no complaint on this account.

when last you visited Bhav Nagar you promised to get the house repaired that is in very aweful condition. The roofs are leaking and there is dampness in the house. My wife is a chronic patient of arthritis and the dampness has further aggravated her disease.

The house gives a shabby look for lack of white washing and painting. The house looks so dirty that it does not seem to be worth the rent I pay.

It is a pity that you have not paid heed to my oral requests. If you have no time I shall get the house repaired myself. I shall send you the estimate of the cost of repairs. The amount will be deducted from the monthly rent till all the bills are adjusted.

In present circumstance, I feel it is an ideal proposal. The amount of instalment to be deducted can be mutually decided.

As an owner you must be knowing that timely repairs enhance the life of the building. I shall send you the estimate on hearing from you as to what course you think suitable for you. Rainy season is likely to set in soon. If the repairs are undertaken soon, I shall feel obliged to you.
