Pulitzer Prize

Joseph Pulitzer was a Hungarian-American journalist and newspaper publisher. In his will in 1904, he made a provision for the establishment of lie Pulitzer Prizes as an incentive to excellence in journalism, literature, and drama.
Prizes are awarded yearly in 21 categories and in 20 of them, the winner receives a certificate and cash prize of $15,000. In the public service category, the winner is awarded a gold medal.
