          It is rather a crime to believe that any menial but honest work is disgraceful. Those who believe that manual labour is something menial do not understand the significance of the dignity of labour. AU good work, howsoever small it may be, is graceful. Work is worship. Work implies every kind of work, small or big but it must be a noble work done for the sake of performing one's duty. It is superficial idea to believe that the dignity of a man lies in doing something great. As a matter of fact dignity of labour inspires us to realize to do any kind of work and take pride in our work. The greatness of man lies in his ability to accept any kind of work that is noble. As a matter of fact dignity of labour gives mental satisfaction & inner peace and contributes to our growth & independence. There are many ways to develop dignity of labour in a man. In fact respect for work should be cultivated right from the childhood. But in any stage of life dignity of labour can be developed through various means. One can participate in community development projects with a view to doing away with the social & political evils. Diligence makes a person hard working. It is only through diligence that one can acquire caliber, constancy and sound character. Industrious persons are always creative, not only for themselves but for the society as a whole.
