When an average Indian woman enters into the traditional male sector, she is almost despaired. She has always been the victim of certain baseless age old obsessions that most men have regarding them. In the male dominated world women are victim of gender bias. The employers are reluctant to give women difficult jobs on the presumption that they are weak.
The problems faced by working mothers deserve special mention. Often the attraction of job turns sour when men do not want to share the responsibilities of bringing up children and kitchen function. Sadly enough, every responsibility of child upbringing rests with the working mothers. It adds to stress and strain. They break down psychologically, physically and emotionally.
In addition to this, Indian employers would ask even the married woman to work over time. It is very taxing. Regularity and punctuality are the core of private sector. Therefore, striking a balance between her family and career is a constant battle against time.

The security threat for the urban working woman is always present around her. Once she is out to fend for herself in the male dominated world, there is constant apprehension of her own security outside and inside the working place. Sexual harassment is a major problem faced by them. This is the most | condemnable problem faced by the working women in India. Only a few countries have accorded special legal protection to the working women to fight this problem. Unfortunately we do not have any such exclusive legislation to save the honour of the working Women. In comparison to other problems such as lodging and transport problems faced by the working women are insignificant. Lack of adequate rest and relaxation makes her emotionally unstable.
The role of media in highlighting the Complexity of the problems is very significant. There should be availability of creches, nurseries and play schools tor children so that working mothers may remain tension free. However ultimate remedy lies with the working women themselves. They have to successfully tackle the domestic tangles.
